Junior Golf Program

2018 Jr Golf Program – June 18th through August 9th

Our Jr Golf Program offers an opportunity for friendship, instruction, participation, competition, and a great deal of fun for children ages six to seventeen (6-17).  We offer four programs that will engage our juniors of all skills and abilities.

For those children with little or no golf experience, “The Birdies” would be a perfect fit.  “The Eagles” are geared for students who have some experience playing and want to improve their skills.  Our third program, “The Aces” is designed for kids who would like to develop the finer points of the game with focus on private instruction and course management.

In addition, we have added a new program – “14 & Up”.  We are excited to add this program for those who are inspired to play on a high school golf team and for those who currently play on a team.  These matches will take place on Wednesdays at 11:30 am and will focus on competitive play.

Introducing Coach Bridget Ackley, PGA

Coach Bridget Ackley is Birmingham’s new Junior Golf Instructor! She is originally from Brookfield, WI and has been living in Fort Lauderdale, FL for seven years.  She began playing golf at the age of three and credits her parents for encouraging her throughout her golfing career.  After a successful junior golf and high school career, she played for one year at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.

A serious car accident would put her golf career on hold for over a year.  During this time she began coaching for her high school’s varsity golf team as well as for her college team.  Her passion for the game grew immensely through coaching and drove her to pursue a career in golf.

Bridget is a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach, actively involved with The First Tee of Broward and coaches both the boys and girls varsity golf teams for Saint John Paul II Academy in Boca Raton, FL.  She has a strong passion for advancing the game through quality instruction and has dedicated a considerable amount of focus on growing the game through junior golf programs.  She understands that every golfer’s swing is unique and that there is no “perfect swing.”  Her teaching philosophy concentrates on strong fundamentals, impact position, and attaining the goals set by each golfer. Welcome, Coach Bridget!
